Experience
Matthew has extensive experience advising clients on the development and delivery of public affairs and communications programmes across a range of sectors. He has particular expertise working on major planning and development projects, and advising clients operating in the healthcare, transport and financial services sectors.
Matthew is also experienced in political and media communications, and has managed comms around a number of high-profile incidents, including: corporate controversies and health and safety incidents; cases of under-cover media activity; public inquiries; litigation cases; and police and regulatory actions. Previous to joining Bircham Dyson Bell in 2007, Matthew was a Director in the Public Affairs practice of an international law firm. He has spent time working in both the Westminster and European Parliaments, as well as in Hong Kong.
Matthew was been noted as a "gifted communicator" in The Legal 500, 2006 edition.
