Experience
John has extensive experience in corporate law, in particular corporate finance and corporate transactions, for both quoted and unquoted companies. His public company experience includes:
- advising on transactions governed by the City Code, including takeovers (recommended and hostile), take private transactions, reverse takeovers and company mergers, often effected by scheme of arrangement under the Companies Act;
- advising on the obtaining of Panel whitewashes and Code waivers;
- advising AIM and PLUS quoted companies on flotations, secondary fund-raisings acquisitions and boardroom issues and their continuing obligations under market rules and other regulations; and
- advising quoted companies on reorganisations/restructurings including capital reductions approved by the Court.
He has also advised on a large number of private financings (venture capital and tax effective investments such as EIS), corporate acquisitions and disposals and joint ventures.
John has been closely involved in the development and expansion of Lexwork International, of which he is the European Chairman.
