Ian joined the firm in March 2006 and has since acted for a range of public and private sector clients on compulsory purchase and property issues. Ian has particular experience of light rail schemes having advised on the land acquisition for the London City Airport and Woolwich Arsenal extensions to the Docklands Light Railway. Ian also advised on the application by Docklands Light Railway Limited for a Transport and Works Act Order to authorise the construction of an extension to Dagenham Dock.
Ian advised a considerable number of major commercial property owners and developers on objecting to the Crossrail Bill and negotiated a number of collaboration agreements with the Secretary of State for Transport for the construction of substantial mixed use developments above and around proposed Crossrail stations in central London.
