Celsis is a leading supplier of innovative life science products and laboratory services to the global pharmaceutical and consumer products industries, with a well regarded brand and strong sector expertise.

The Corporate team at Bircham Dyson Bell congratulates the drug discovery company and longstanding client ImmuPharma plc for their success at the European Medi-Sciences Awards Dinner 2009. ImmuPharma's award is for Breakthrough of the Year 2009 in recognition of its licensing deal with Cephalon Inc for the development and commercialisation of its lead compound Lupuzor under which it has so far received $45m. This product has the potential to be novel therapy for the treatment of Lupus, a chronic autoimmune, inflammatory disease.

Bircham Dyson Bell LLP acted for Volvere plc (the AIM traded turnaround investment company) on its disposal of Sira Certification Service, Sira Test and Certification Limited, Sira Consulting Limited and Sira Environmental Limited (together "Sira Certification") to CSA Certification (UK) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Canadian-based CSA Group ("CSA") for up to £8.6 million in cash. The sale completed on 7th July 2009.

Bircham Dyson Bell acted for Norcliffe Investments Limited, a bid vehicle established by North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC and Martyn Radcliffe, in connection with its cash offer for GNE Group PLC, valuing GNE at £26.4 million. The offer was made after proposals put forward by NASCIT and Martyn Ratcliffe and agreed with the board of GNE encountered resistance from a group of minority shareholders.

Bircham Dyson Bell acted for AIM company ValiRx Plc on its recent placing. The Company raised £580k, which will be used by the company to accelerate the regulatory approval process for the launch of its Human Papilloma Virus (“HPV”) diagnostic test kit for cervical cancer and to progress its therapeutic products through to first in man clinical trials.
