The lecture is on an aspect of Planning and Environmental Law and Russell Harris chose the topical subject of Enforcement.

Bircham Dyson Bell has announced the promotion of Elaine Dobson to partner in the firm's award winning Property Department, effective from 1st December 2010.
Elaine joined the firm in November 2007 as a senior associate following a career with leading private client firms in the City and West End. Formerly an estate agent covering Kensington and Notting Hill, Elaine has used her market knowledge and experience of the high value residential market to help grow what has become one of London's leading Residential and Leasehold Reform Teams.

Bircham Dyson Bell is delighted to announce the hire of new Partner Nick Holland as Head of Contentious Trusts and Estates. Nick joined on 8th November 2010 from Cayman Islands firm Solomon Harris, where he held a similar role.

Bircham Dyson Bell has announced John Stephenson as the firm’s Senior Partner with effect from 1st June 2010. He succeeds Ian McCulloch who has been in the role for the past 13 years. Stephenson is a partner in the Real Estate Department and heads the Residential and Leasehold Reform Group.
John said:
‘I am delighted to have been given this opportunity by the partners and hope that I can live up to the very high standards set by Ian McCulloch during his tenure for which the partnership owes him an enormous debt of gratitude.

The Public Affairs and Communications team at leading law firm Bircham Dyson Bell has been retained as public affairs and communications consultants to Merseytravel. The firm was awarded the 5 year contract as a result of a competitive tender exercise, which initially attracted interest from over 100 firms and agencies.
Merseytravel is the public body responsible for coordinating transport across Merseyside with the aim of delivering a fully integrated and sustainable transport network accessible to all.

Bircham Dyson Bell has moved to strengthen the firm’s Family Group with the appointment of Helen Pidgeon, Partner, from Campbell Hooper. Confirming the appointment Guy Vincent, Managing Partner said: ‘I am delighted that Helen has chosen to join the firm. Guy Vincent, Managing Partner at Bircham Dyson Bell, today announced a total of 12 promotions across the firm including the promotion of Jonathan Brinsden to partner within the Charities Department.
